DEHRADUN: A helicopter has crashed in Kedarnath Dham, Uttarakhand. The helicopter has been a victim of an accident in Garudchatti, 2 km from Kedarnath.
According to news agency, the rescue team is trying to reach the spot. It is being said in media reports that this accident happened due to bad weather. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
According to media reports, this helicopter belonged to a private company and there were 5 visitors aboard.
Witnesses are being told in many media reports that after the sound of a loud explosion, the local people informed the authorities.
Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia termed the incident as unfortunate and said that he is in constant touch with the state government and is monitoring the situation.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has expressed grief over the accident and expressed condolences to the families of all those who lost their lives in the accident.
