Ludhiana11th Youth festival of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University progressed to 4th day with competitions held in literary events. Students expressed their feelings and expressions through their participation in events of Creative writing, Extempore and Debate. Dr. Y.P.S. Malik, Dean College of Animal Biotechnology, GADVASU was guest of honor in the morning session whereas Dr. H.K.Verma, Principal, Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences graced the afternoon session as guest of honor. Both the guests encouraged and appreciated the participants. Dr. Satyavan Rampal, Director Students’ Welfare congratulated the winning students. He said that the Youth Festival will enter in the more colourful and Musical phase as main stage items will be on floor in the second phase from October 18 to 20.

Dr. A.P.S. Brar organizing secretary of the festival said that in the morning session Creative Writing and Extempore competitions were held. In the afternoon session there was a Debate competition. College of Veterinary Science, College of Dairy Science and Technology, College of Fisheries, College of Animal Biotechnology, College of Veterinary Science, Rampura Phul (Bathinda), Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani participated along with affiliated college, Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar. Students expressed their thoughts on current and important issues.

In the Creative Writing the topic was ‘If I were COVID-19’

In the Extempore competition result was:

3.      Ajayveer Singh Sandhu, College of Veterinary Science, Ludhiana

 

In the Debate competition the topic was: 'Development is destroying Environment'

The result was:

Dr. Nidhi Sharma, Welfare Officer said that on 18th October 2022 there will be formal inauguration of youth festival and competitions of Folk Songs, Creative Dance (solo), Light Vocal & Group Song (Indian).
