Himachal Pradesh Assembly Polls 2022 dates announced: Voting on November 12, counting of votes on December 8

SHIMLA: Assembly elections have been announced in Himachal Pradesh. Assembly polls in Himachal Pradesh will be held on November 12 and the counting of the vote will be done on December 8, the Election Commission (EC) announced on Friday.

 

According to the report,  The notification for the elections will be issued on October 17. The last date for making nominations is October 25 and can be withdrawn till October 29.

The Election Commission said that the Election Commission of India is committed to conduct the elections properly. Will try to conduct the election fair and properly. The situation of Kovid is no longer a big concern, but precautionary measures will be continued. Ramps, drinking water and shaded areas and other facilities will be provided at each polling station.

 

CEC Rajeev Kumar said in the PC that some polling stations will be managed entirely by women employees. Some polling stations are to be managed entirely by PWD staff. He said that out of 68 seats in the assembly, 17 seats are reserved for SC category and 3 seats for ST category. There are 55.07 lakh voters in Himachal. Of these, 27 lakh 80 thousand are males and 27 lakh 27 thousand are females.
