Amritsar- Directorate of Placement & Career Enhancement of Guru Nanak Dev University organized online campus placement drives by famous multinational IT companies Accenture and Nagarro. Accenture selected 43 students at a salary package of Rs. 4.50 Lakh per annum and Nagarro selected 36 students at a salary package of Rs. 5.00 Lakh per annum. In total, 79 students were selected by both the companies for IT jobs. The students belong to B.Tech. CSE, B.Tech. ECE, B.Tech. Mechanical Engg., M.Tech. CSE and MCA courses of main campus Amritsar as well as the regional campuses of Jalandhar and Gurdaspur.
Till now, a total of 231 students have been placed from Batch passing out in academic session 2023 in just 1 month. These students will join their jobs in July, 2023 after passing out their respective courses. The average pay package for the placed students is Rs. 5.92 Lakh per annum and the highest package offered is Rs. 17.40 Lakh per annum.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu congratulated the students and faculty members for this great success. Dr. B.S. Bajwa, Prof.-in-Charge (Placements) said that many more companies like Amdocs, Capgemini, Wipro and many others have confirmed their visit in near future to recruit the students of the University. Dr. Amit Chopra, Asstt. Placement Officer added that the GNDU is one of the favourite place to hire students.
