Woman among five villagers booked for culpable homicide

The Lohian Khas police have booked five villagers, including a woman, on the charge of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.

Investigating officer (IO) Harwindar Singh   said that the accused have been identified as Harmesh Singh, son of Makhann Singh, a resident of Pippli village, his wife Swaran Kaur, son Jaspindar Singh alias Pindi, Buta Singh, son of Jagir Sing,h and Punjab Singh, son of Mukhtiar Singh both residents of the same village

Lovpreet Singh, a resident of the same village, complained to the police that the accused Buta Singh and Punjab Singh often took his father Paramjit Singh into the house of Harmesh Singh, who, along with his wife and son are selling drugs

The complainant said the accused on January 3 took his father to the house of Harmesh Singh, where all five accused gave some poisonous substance to Paramjit Singh, who died. Buta Singh and Punjab Singh brought the body of their father on their motorcycle to his house, left his body, and fled wayIO said a case under sections 105(culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 191(2) (rioting), and 190(unlawful assembly) of the BNS has been registered against the accused. No arrests have been made,
