The Shahkot police have booked four miscreants on the charge of stealing an engine from a bore well.
Investigating officer (IO) Sarwann Singh said that the accused have been identified as Rajan Preet Singh a resident of Ram Pur village, Mandeep Singh of Bhoe Pur village, Vishu and Ramesh both residents of Shahkot.
Bikramjit Singh a resident of Ram Pur village complained to the police that the accused stole an engine from his bore well in his fields on November 26 night.
IO said a case under section 303(2) (theft) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
