NAKODAR
The Nakodar Sadar police have booked three members of a family on the charges of cheating, breach of trust and criminal conspiracy.
Investigating Officer (IO)and Shankar police post in charge Jagtar Singh said that the accused have been identified as Gurmukh Singh son of Hari Ram a resident of Shankar village, his wife Neelam and son Indar Pal Singh.
Gurmindar Singh a resident of the same village has complained Senior Superintendent of Police Jalandhar (Rural) that he was in Canada when the accused in a well-planned conspiracy requested him to send money for purchasing and repairing of a house on his name but afterward encroached it and cheated him.
IO said a case under sections 406(breach of trust )420(cheating) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC has been registered against the accused after an inquiry.
