The Criminal Investigating Agency (CIA) of Jalandhar (rural) police have arrested a drug peddler on charge of selling poppy husk.
Investigating officer (IO) Manidar Singh said that 15 kilograms poppy husk was recovered from the possession of the accused identified as Amandeep Singh alias Aman son of Balwindar Singh a resident of Bego Wal village under Fateh Garh Panjtoor police station in Moga.
IO said a case under sections 15/61/85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused in Nakodar Sadar police station.
The Nakodar Sadar police arrested a woman drug peddler Darshan Kaur alias Darsho wife Sarwann of Chak Kalan village with 40 intoxicant tablets said IO Jagtar Singh.
The Nurmahal police arrested two drug peddlers Sardool Singh son of Nachhatar Singh and Chamkaur Singh son of Swaran Singh residents of Dharme Dian Chhana village under Mehat Pur police station with 40 intoxicant tablets said IO Jaspal Singh.
