The Nurmahal police have arrested two persons on the charge of outraging woman’s modesty and using caste remarks.
Nakodar Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sukhpal Singh said that the accused have been identifiedas Kuldeep Singh alias Deepa son of Ajit Singh a resident of Bath village and Nirmal Singh son of Ranjodh Singh a resident of Sidham Hari Singh village.
Vishal a resident of Hairan village under Nakodar Sadar police complained to the police that the accused attacked Lavpreet and his wife Mandip Kaur residents of Littaran village on November 25 and used cattiest remarks against them.
DSP said that a case under sections74(use of criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty),115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt) 191(3) and 190(rioting with deadly weapons and unlaw full assembly) and 3(5) (committing crime with common intention) of the BNS and sections 3(1) -R -of the ST/SC Act has been registered against the accused and Jaswindar Kaur wife of Ranjodh Singh .
