The Nakodar Sadar police have booked six persons including two women on the chargeof outraging woman’s modesty.
Investigating Officer (IO) Tirath Ram said that the accused have been identified as Sukhraj alias Sodhi aresident of Bagh Pur village, his wife Bakhasho, Manisha wife of Pole of the same village, Arshdeep alias Raja and Jagdeep alias Deep residents of the same village and their two unidentified accomplices.
Gurmail Chand a resident of Bagh Pur village complained to the police that the accused attacked him andhis wife on November 5 and tore her and her daughter’s cloths and threatened him with dire consequences.
IO said that a case under sections74(use of criminal force to woman with intentto outrage her modesty),110(attempt to commit culpable homicide )115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt) 191(3) and 190(rioting with deadly weapons and unlaw full assembly) and 3(5) (committing crime with common intention) of the BNS has been registered against the accused. No arrests have been made, and raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused.
