The Nakodar Sadar police have booked three persons on the charge of outraging woman’s modesty.
Investigating Officer (IO) Inspector Semma in- charge Woman Cell Nakodar said that the accused have been identified as Pardeep Kumar alias Kaka a resident of Chamia village and his two unidentified accomplices
The victim complained to the police that the accused waylaid her and her sister on July 23 late evening assaulted, and eve-teased them.
IO said that a case under sections74(use of criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty),75(sexual harassment) )115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt) and 3(5) (committing crime with common intention) of the BNS has been registered against the accused. No arrests have been made, and raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused.
The Nurmahal police also booked eight accused for outraging modesty of women said IO Jai Gopal adding that one accused is a resident of Nurmahal and other are residents of Fateh Pur village and two cases have been registered against the accused.
