The Lohian Khas police have booked two farmers on the charge of burning paddy stubble fields.
Investigating Officer (IO)Sarabjit Singh said that the alleged accused have been identified as
Kashmir Singh, son of Thakar Singh a resident of Mehraj Wala village and Lakhwindar Singh son of Kewal Singh a resident of Gidarr Pindi village.
IO said the concerned nodal officers have sent their reports to the police, which were verified and examined at the place of occurrence.
IO stated that the accused had set fire to their paddy stubble fields, violating the government order in this regard, and polluted the atmosphere.
Cases under section 223(disobedience to an order duly promulgated by a public servant) of the BNS have been registered against the accused.
