The Lohian Khas police have arrested Amarjit alias Bai son of Balkar a resident of Jamsher village, on the charges of murdering a woman.
SHO Gursharan Singh said that a case under
sections 103 (murder) and 61(2) (criminal conspiracy) and 238(causing disappearance of evidence or giving false information to screen offender ) of the BNS was registered against the accused.
Ranna, son of Nathi a resident of Appra village under Phillaur police station and close relative of the deceased had told
the police that husband of Anubala Krishan Lal who was living abroad suddenly came back on November 2 and brutally beat his wife Anubala along with his family members under well planned conspiracy and admitted her in civil hospital claiming accident who was refeed to Jalandhar civil hospital where she told that her in-laws brutally beat her .
Jalandhar Civil Hospital referred the deceased to Amritsar after five days, but her in-laws admitted her into a Jalandhar private clinic, where she succumbed to her injuries on November 10.
SHO said the accused doubted Anubala’s character, which resulted in her murder adding that husband of the deceased and his mother have been arrested earlier
