The Bilga police have booked a farmer on the charge of burning paddy stubble fields.
Investigating Officer (IO) Kulwindar Singh said that the alleged accused has been identified as Sandeep Singh son of Ram Lubhaya a resident of Partab Pura village.
IO said the concerned nodal officer has sent his report to the police which was verified and examined at the places of occurrence.
IO said that the accused had set afire his paddy stubble fields and violated government order in this regard and polluted the atmosphere.
A case under section 223(disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
