The Lohian Khas police have booked two farmers on the charge of burning paddy stubble fields.
Station House Officer (SHO) Gursharan Singh said that the alleged accused have been identified as Balveer Singh son of Lala Singh a resident of Gatti Rai Pur village and Nachhtar Singh son of Piara Singh a resident of Janniya village.
SHO said the concerned nodal officers have sent their reports to the police which were verified and examined at the places of occurrence.
SHO said that the accused had set afire their paddy stubble fields and violated government order in this regard and polluted the atmosphere.
Cases under section 223(disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS have been registered against the accused.
The Shahkot police also booked two farmers Jogindar Singh son of Jagir Singh of Pati Shahla Nagar Malsian village and Raghubir Singh son of Gurdeep Singh of Raunta village for burning paddy stubble fields said IO’s Major Singh and Angrej Singh
