LOHIAN KHAS
The total purchase of paddy by the state government and private agencies from farmers have crossed 5.25lakhs under the jurisdiction of the Lohian Khas market committees on Tuesday which is less by 33 percent of purchase last year on this date.
Committee secretary Tejindar Kumar said we are expecting 2 percent more purchase of paddy this season and may not achieve targets of 7.94 lakhs quintals purchased last year. He said this is due to fall of yield per acre due to various reasons.
