The Lohian Khas police have booked two farmers on the charge of burning paddy stubble fields.
Station House Officer (SHO) Gursharan Singh said that the alleged accused have been identified as Balwindar Singh son Puran Singh a resident of Yako Pur Kalan village and his brother Sukhdev Singh
SHO said the concerned nodal officers have sent their reports to the police which was verified and examined at the place of occurrence.
SHO said that the accused had set afire their paddy stubble fields and violated government order in this regard and polluted the atmosphere.
Cases under section 223(disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS have been registered against the accused.
The Shahkot police also booked farmer Baj Singh son of Makhan Singh of Raje Wal village for burning paddy stubble fields said IO Sukhwindar Singh.
