The Nurmahal police have booked a farmer on the charge of violating order duly promulgated by a public servant by burning paddy stubble fields.
Station House Officer (SHO) Gurnam Singh said that the alleged accused has been identified as Parmindar Singh son of Santa Singh a resident of Ram Pur village.
SHO said concerned revenue patwari has sent his report to the police which were verified and examined at the place of occurrence.
SHO said that the accused had set afire his paddy stubble fields and violated government order in this regard and polluted the atmosphere.
A case under section 223(disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
