The Lohian khas police have booked four farmers including a woman farmer on the charge of violating order duly promulgated by a public servant by burning paddy stubble fields.
Station House Officer (SHO) Gursharan Singh said that the alleged accused have been identified as Jogindar Kaur daughter of Balveer Singh,Kaljit Singh son of Charan Singh and his brother Jagdeep Singh all residents of Gidarr Pindi village and Gurcharan Singh son of Jagjit Singh a resident of Mehraj Wala village.
SHO said concerned officers have sent their reports to the police which were verified and examined at the place of occurrence.
SHO said that the accused had set afire their paddy stubble fields and violated government order in this regard and polluted the atmosphere.
Cases under section 223(disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS have been registered against the accused.
