The Shahkot police have booked two farmers on the charge of violating order duly promulgated by a public servant by burning paddy stubble fields.
Station House Officer (SHO) Balwindar Singh said that the alleged accused have been identified as Mukhtiar Singh son of Indar Singh a resident of Chak Hathianna village and Bikramjit Singh son of Sarwan Singh a resident of Ram Pur village.
SHO said concerned officers have sent their reports to the police which were verified and examined place of occurrence.
SHO said that the accused had set afire their paddy stubble fields and violated government order in this regard and polluted atmosphere. Cases under section 223(disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
