The Shahkot police have booked a farmer on the charge of violating order duly promulgated by a public servant by burning paddy stubble fields.
Investigating Officer (IO) Major Singh said that the alleged accused has been identified as Jagtar Singh Amrik Singh a resident of Dale Wal.
IO said BDPO Narega secretary and Nodal officer Piara Singh and Patwari Jaspreet Singh Shahkot has senttheir reports to the police which were verified and examined place of occurrence.
IO said that the accused had set afire paddy stubble field and violated government order in this regard and polluted atmosphere. A case under section 223(disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
