A Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL)employee was electrocuted on Friday.
Investigating Officer (IO) Rajindar Kumar said that the deceased has been identified as Amarjit alias Samma, a resident of Talwanni village and working in the grid substation Nurmahal.
IO said that the deceased was repairing a transformer in a village when he accidentally touched an electric line and died on the spot.
The police, acting under section 194 of the BNNS, on a statement from Rajwindar Kaur wife of the deceased handed over the body to the family after the postmortem.
