Punjab Minister for Mines, Geology, Conservation of Land, Water, and Water Resources, Barinder Kumar Goyal, today said that the Punjab Government was committed to building a “Rangla Punjab” by following the inclusive path laid down by Maharaja Agrasen Ji. The Minister was addressing the gathering during the 5179th Maharaja Agrasen Ji Punjab Prantiya Jayanti celebrations held in Jalandhar. The Minister said that the state government was adopting Maharaja Agrasen Ji’s ideals to empower every citizen and make them self-reliant through various welfare initiatives. He added that the Punjab Government had already declared a gazetted holiday on Maharaja Agrasen Ji’s Jayanti as a mark of respect to this great visionary who devoted his life to equality, compassion, and collective prosperity. Expressing gratitude for being part of the event, the Minister said it was an honour to join his community in paying homage to Maharaja Agrasen Ji’s legacy.
He lauded the Akhil Bhartiya Aggarwal Sammelan Punjab Unit for organizing the grand celebration andextending warm hospitality. The Minister also acknowledged the immense contribution of the Aggarwal Samaj to the nation’s development, noting that the community has always been at the forefront of social service and philanthropy. He praised several welfare and charitable initiatives launched by the Samaj, especially during recent floods, that have significantly contributed to socio-economic upliftment. Reiterating the Punjab Government’s commitment to inclusive growth, Barinder Kumar Goyal assured that the Government will continue to follow Maharaja Agrasen Ji’s guiding principles to ensure holistic development of all sections of society. Earlier, State President Surendra Aggarwal, State Chairman Manmohan Mittal, State General Secretary Ashoke Aggarwal, Chairman Aggarwal Welfare Board Ashwini Aggarwal, and Vice Chairman Lovely Group Naresh Mittal welcomed the Minister.
