The Mehat Pur police have booked a woman on charges of selling illicit liquor.
Investigating Officer (IO)Kashmir Singh said that 120 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from thepossession of the accused, identified as Charanjit Kaur alias Channo wife of Balveer Singh a resident of Mohalla Khuram Pur Mehat Pur who manged to flees from the spot
IO said a case has been registered under sections 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act against the accused.
