NAKODAR
The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested a drug peddler with opium and an illicit pistol.
Investigating Officer (IO)and Uggi police post in charge, Jaspal Singh, said that 250 grams of opium and one illicit country-made pistol (7.65 mm) were recovered from the possession of the accused, identified as Rohit, son of Bhagwan Dass, a resident of Dhaliwal village.
IO stated that a case has been registered under sections 182/ 61/ 85 of the NDPS Act and sections 2/54/59 of the Arms Act against the accused.
