NAKODAR
The Nakodar City police have arrested a youth for kidnapping a girl.
Investigating Officer (IO) Davindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as
Sahil, son of Shindar Pal, a resident of Mohalla Kamal Pura, Nakodar.
The father of the victim had complained to the police that the accused had kidnapped his daughter by luring her on the pretext of marriage on September 2.
IO said that a case under sections 137(2) (kidnapping) and 87 (kidnapping to murder or for ransom) of the BNS was registered against the accused.
