The Lohian Khas police have arrested two villagers on charges of selling illicit liquor.
Station House Officer (SHO) Gursharan Singh said that 60 (40+20) bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from the possession of the accused, identified as Harantar Preet Singh h, a resident of Gatta Mundi Kasu village, and Malkit Singh of Shera Mandala village in Feroze Putr.
SHO said cases under sections 61/1.14 of the Punjab Excise Act have been registered against the accused.
The Shahkot police arrested Paramjit Singh of Kakarr Kalan village with 9 bottles of hooch, said IO Sarwann Singh.
