Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal conducted a comprehensive inspection of two key publicspaces in Jalandhar today, including Virsa Vihar and the Guru Nanak Dev Digital Library. During his visit to Virsa Vihar, a cultural hub in the city, Dr. Aggarwal issued instructions to officials for its proper maintenance and upkeep. He announced that the building will be utilized as a key venue for promoting cultural activities under the "Rangla Punjab", serving as a platform for various cultural events and hosting expos for local artisans to showcase their artwork. Following his visit to Versa Vihar, the Deputy Commissioner proceeded to the Guru Nanak Dev District Library. He took the time to interact with students and aspirants preparing for competitive examinations, listening to their needs and challenges. Recognizing the importance of a conducive learning environment, Dr. Aggarwal promised to take concrete steps for the upgradation of the existing library infrastructure and facilities to better serve the student community.
The Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of maintaining public spaces and investing in resources that empower the youth and promote the rich cultural heritage of Jalandhar.
