Unidentified miscreants booked for robbery

The Shahkot police have booked unidentified miscreants on the charge of robbery and criminal conspiracy.
Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Nangal Ambian village, complained to the police that an unidentified accused carrying firearms reached his motor on August 12, detained his migrant servant and his daughter, beat them, took Rs 5000 in cash and a smartphone and stole 40 kg of wheat.
Investigating Officer Sarwann Singh said a case under sections 309(4) (robbery), 127(2) (wrongful confinement), and 61(2) (criminal conspiracy) of the BNS and sections 25/54/59 of the Arms Act has been registered against unidentified accused.
This is the second case of robbery within two days, which has created a sense of insecurity among residents and puts a question mark on police functioning.
