The Nurmahal police have booked a Jagrata singer on the charge of outrage religious feelings.
Station House Officer (SHO) Paramjit Singh said that the accused has been identified as Madhu Sudhan
Mittu, son of Hari Ram Mittu, a resident of Mohalla Tourrian, Nurmahal.
Daswindar Singh, president of Shiv Sena, Bal Thakre Nurmahal, and a resident of Sagar Pur village,
complained to the police that the accused and his family had thrown photos of the Goddess(Mata Ranni),
religious Chunis, and other religious items into a dustbin cart (reharri) in front of his house on July 12 and
hurt religious feelings
Daswindar Singh said the accused is leading a famous Jagrata Singing group and goes to Punjab to participate in jagrats, which is very bad for him to do, as it hurts religious feelings.
SHO said a case under sections 298(injuring or defiling a place of worship, with intention to insult thereligion of any class) and 3(5)( committing a crime with common intention) of the BNS has been registered against the accused, his unidentified accomplices
