The Shahkot police have arrested four miscreants on charges of murder.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Onkar Singh Brar said that the accused have been identified as
Gurpreet Singh alias Kalu, son of Bhupindar Singh , Abhishek Gharu alias Abhi alias Kirra, son of Paramjit Singh, Anmol Preet Singh, son of Gurmit Singh, all residents of Kanganna village, and Vishal alias Bhola, son of Raunnaki Ram, a resident of Eese Wal village.
DSP said that the accused had attacked Karandeep, alias Naddu, son of Nirmal singh, a resident of Kanganna village, on July 29, intending to murder and seriously injure him, who succumbed to his injuries on August 6.
DSP said that a case under section 103(murder) 109(attempt tomurder) 115(2) 118(1) (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), and 3(5) (committing a crime with common intention) of the BNS was registered against the accused and sharp-edged weapons were recovered from their possession. The accused were produced in a court, which remanded them to police custody for two days.
