NAKODAR
The Nakodar City and Sadar police have arrested two drug peddlers on the charge of selling intoxicant
tablets.
Nakodar Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sukhpal Singh said that 72 intoxicant tablets(45+12) were
recovered from the possession of the accused, identified Raman Kumar alias Raman, son of Major Lal a
resident of Mohalla Aawa, Nakodar, and Ranjit Singh alias Mithu, son of Balbir Singh a resident of Kang
Sahib Rai village.
DSP said that cases under sections 22/ 61 / 85 of the NDPS Act have been registered against the accused.
The Mehat Pur police also arrested a drug peddler, Balwindar Singh alias Manni, son of Harbhajan Singh, a resident of Sango Wal village, with 25 intoxicant tablets, said IO Jaspal Singh.
