The Nurmahal police have arrested twomiscreants on the charges of stealinga motorcycle.
Investigating officer (IO) Gurnam Singh saidthat the accused has been identified as AkashDeep alias Akash,
son of Jagjit Ram, andRahul, son of Dharm Pal, both resident of Umre Wal Billa village under
Mehat Pur police station.IO said that the accused were coming fro the Phillaur side, driving a stolen
motorcyclewere arrested at a Naka,and a case under sections 303(2) (theft), 317(dishonestly receiving stolen
property), 3(5)(committing a crime with common intention)of the BNS has been registered against the
accused.
The Mehat Pur police also arrested a thiefSimranjit Singh of Sagowal village said IO
Kashmir Singh.
The Nakodar Sadar police also bookedunidentified thieves for stealing gold jewelry
from the house of Rannbir Singh of Thabalke
village, said IO Jagtar Singh
