The Mehat Pur police have arrested two drug peddlers on the charge of selling heroin and intoxicant tablets and recovered drug money from their possession.
Investigating officer (IO) Kashmir Singh said that 2 grams of heroin and 50 intoxicant tablets were recovered from the possession of the accused, identified Rohit alias Jagroop, son of Mohann Lal, a resident of Parjian Kalan village under Shahkot police station, and Harjindar Pal Singh alias Jinder, son of Satnam Singh, a resident of Khehra Mush Tarka village.
IO said that a case under sections 21/22/ 61 / 85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and impounded an auto and a motorcycle.
The Nakodar City and Sadar police arrested two drug peddlers, Manpreet Singh alias Manna, son of Sukhdev Singh, a resident of Billi Chaharmi village in Shahkot, and Sunni, son of Rajveer of Shankar village, with 44 and 25 intoxicant tablets, said IOs Balveer Singh and Jagtar Singh.
