The Bilga police have booked ten miscreants on charges of attacking a Goraya man with poisonous spray spray.
Investigating officer (IO) Charanjit Singh said the accused have been identified as Pappu, Gurjit Singh,
Dilpreet Singh, Gurdawar Singh, Tarsem Singh, Jaswant Singh, all residents of Mowai village, and their
twunidentified accomplices.
was driving his tractor on 17 late evening when the accused waylaid him near Mowai village on Nurmahal-Phillaur road, and attacked him with sharp-edged weapons and sprayed poisonous insecticide on his face.
IO said that a case under sections 123(causing harm through poison etc with intent to commit an offence) 115(2), 118(1), (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), 126(2) (wrongful restraint), 191(3)(rioting armed with deadly weapons), and 190(unlawful assembly of the BNS has been registered against the accused.
