The Mehat Pur police have booked three persons, including two women on the charge of outraging a woman’s modesty.
Investigating Officer (IO)Puran Singh said that the accused have been identified as Indarjit Kaur, wife of Gurdev Ram Dogar, a resident of Khuram Pur village, her husband, and Jaspreet Kaur, wife of Jaskaran Singh, a resident of the same village.
Sukhjit Kaur wife of Sukhwindar Singh, a resident of Khuram Pur village, complained to the police that the accused. barged into her house and attacked her with weapons, snatched her golden earrings, and threatened her
IO said that a case under section 74 (criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty),115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 333(house trespass after preparation of assault), 303(2) (theft), 351(2) (criminal intimidation) and 3(5) (committing a crime with a common intention) has been registered against the accused.
No arrests have been made, and raids are being conducted to nab the absconding accused.
