The Nurmahal police have arrested a tractor driver on the charge of attempted murder.
Investigating Officer (IO) Davindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Shamindar Singh alias Shinda, son of Sukhdev Singh, a resident of Nur Pur Chatha village in Nakodar
Manjit Singh, a resident of Mohalla Bhagat Singh Nagar near railway road, Nakodar, had complained to the police that he was returning home from Ludhiana on his moped on July 4 when the accused tractor driver struck him on Nurmahal Nakodar road near a religious place, and was caught between the rear tyre and the rotavator attached to the tractor and was dragged and seriously injured.
IO stated that a case was registered under Section 109 (attempt to murder) and Section 324 (4) (mischief) of the BNS against the accused.
