The Shahkot police have arrested a thief for stealing household goods.
Investigating officer (IO) Sukhwindar Singh said the accused has been identified as Som Nath, son of Jaswant, a resident of Said Pur Jhirri village.
Rakesh Kumar, a resident of the same village,had complained to the police that the accused and his
accomplices stole an LCD and two gas cylinders from his house on 25 May and valuables from the house of Asha, wife of Lovpreet Singh, on May 26
.IO said a case under sections 331(4) ( lurking house trespass) and 305(theft in dwelling house ) 317(2) (dishonestly receiving stolen property) of the BNS was.resident of Said Pur Jhiri village, is absconding.
