The Shahkot police have arrested a person for illegal sand mining.
Investigating officer(IO) Sukhwindar Singh said that the accused has been identified as Gurdial Singh, a resident of Bagian village under Sidhama Bet police station, LudhianaIO said that a case under section 21 of the Punjab Mining Act and section 303 (theft) of the BNS was registered against the accused in May 2025.
