NAKODAR
The Nakodar city police have arrested a travel agent for allegedly duping a Nakodar resident of Rs 2
lakhs on the pretext of migrating him abroad.
Nakodar Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sukhpal Singh and the investigating officer in this case
said that the accused has been identified as Sahil Hans, son of Amar Chand, a resident of Kaki Pind village
in Jalandhar.
Amandeep, a resident of Mohalla Santkh Garh Nakodar, had complained to Jalandhar(rural) senior
superintendent of police (SSP) that he had paid Rs 2 to the accused for facilitating his migration abroad,
but he was not sent abroad, and the money.
DSP said that a case under sections 406 (breach of trust), 420 (cheating)of the IPC, and section 13 of the Punjab Travel Profession Regulation Act was registered against the accused..
