The Lohian Khas police have busted a gang of gangsters and arrested eight members, and solved five cases of extortion

(DSP) Onkar Singh Brar told media said that the accused have been identified as Anmolpreet Singh alias
Mela son of Nishan Singh a resident of Chak Yusaf Pur Alewal village, Manpreet Singh alias Mani, son of
Pal Singh, and Navdeep Singh alias Sonu, son of Tarsem Singh, both residents of Hansa Wala village under
Goind Wal police station, Tarn Taran, Surindar Pal alias Shnda, son of Amarjit Singh a resident of Kanganna
village, Manpreet Singh alias Nanna son of Gurmit Singh a resident of Punia village , Ashman alias Ansh
son of Ranjit Singh a resident of Daulat Pur Dhadda village in Pathan Kot and Jashan Preet Singh alias
Jassan son of Jagtar Singh a resident of Fateh Pur Bhangwan village and ten accomplices of gang are
absconding and riad are being conducted to arrest them.
DSP said the accused had demanded huge amounts of money from residents, threatening to kill them, and
was working on the directions of gangsters living abroad, and recovered a country-made pistol, one live
cartridge, one motorcycle cycle, and a phone, and solved five cases of extortion and firing registered by
Lohian Khas police.
DSP said during the raids to arrest one accused, fired at the police, and was injured in the crossfire, and was
admitted to the hospital and has been identified as Gursewak Singh, son of Surjit Singh, a resident of Chhaprri village, who was booked by the Goindwal police.
