The Shahkot police have arrested a father-son duo on the charge of outraging religious feelings
Investigating Officer (IO) Buta Ram said the accused has been identified as Ravindar Kumar alias Babbu, son of Pira Lal, a resident of Talwandi Madho village, and his son Raj Kumar.
Nirmal Singh, a resident of Billi Chao village in Nakodar, complained to the police that the accused attacked and slapped him on June 18 and removed his turban.
IO said a case under section 299 (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs ) of the BNS has been registered against the accused
