NAKODAR
The Nakodar Sadar police booked a villager for allegedly running illegal IELTS (International English Language Testing System) centres at his house.
Nakodar Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sukhpal Singh said that the accused has been identified as Narindar Kumar, son of Satpal, a resident of Chuharr village.
Saurav Gautam, a resident of the same village, complained to the Nakodar Sud Divisional Magistrate (SDM) about an illegal IELTS centre named Jevik IELTS centre at Chuharr village.
SDM has forwarded this complaint to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), who sought the district attorney's opinion and ordered registration of a case.
DSP said a case under sections of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act has been registered against the accused.
