To enhance the revenue of the Punjab Government as well as to safeguard the interests of people, District collector-cum- Deputy Commissioner Doctor Himanshu Aggarwal has issued new collector rates for the district of Jalandhar. These new rates will be applicable from May 21, 2025, for the year 2025-26, which has an average 40% increase.
District Collector, In pursuance of the powers conferred under Rule 3-A of the Punjab Stamp (Dealing of Undervalued Instrument) Rules,
1983, the minimum value of Land/Property located in District Jalandhar for the year 2025-2026, locality-wise and category-wise
for the purpose of levying stamp duty on instruments of transfer of any property has been fixed as per Government Instructions.
Aggarwal said that these rates were fixed as per the recommendations made by the revenue officials after consulting with the other stakeholders to save the interests of the masses. He also asked the revenue officials to aware the people about the new rates, besides putting up banners/ notices by mentioning the new rates for registration of property.
