The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested a Thablke village resident for murdering a Nurmahal village resident.
Station House Officer (SHO) Baljindar Singh said the accused has been identified as Ravi Kumar, son of Mulakh Raj, a resident of Thablke village.
SHO said that the accused murdered Bindar Singh (50), son of Ajit Singh, a resident of Shidham Hari Singh village under Nurmahal police station, on Monday.
Satnam Singh, son of the deceased, complained to the police that his father went to Thabile village on Monday to drop his girlfriend Preeti and was returning home when the accused attacked his father and murdered him near the village as he also had relations with the girl, which led to the murder of his father.
SHO said a case under section 103 (murder) of the BNS was registered against the accused.
