The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has dismissed the accountant and cashier of the historic Gurdwara Guru Arjan Dev Ji in Bilga village for embezzling funds and suspended the manager.
SGPC superintendent Nishan Singh, in a communication to all concerned, said the temporary Sewadar and accountant Amrit Pal Singh, and Jagveer Singh, the temporary Sewadar and cashier Jagveer Singh embezzled Gurdwara funds, and Manager Mandeep Singh was in league with the two, who have been suspended. He said Bhupindar Singh record keeper of Gurdwara Ber Sahib Sultan Pur Lodhi, has been appointed manager of Bilga Gurdwara.
