A married woman on Sunday committed suicide.
Investigating Officer (IO) Sukhwindar Singh said that the deceased has been identified as Parmindar Kaur, wife of Jagjit Singh, a resident of Nangal Ambian village.
Jagjit Singh told the police that his wife had strangled herself in his house.
IO said that the police, acting under section 194 of the BNSS on a statement from the husband of the deceased, handed over the body to the family after post-mortem.
