The Jalandhar Rural Police today demolished an illegal construction belonging to a notorious drug peddler.
SSP Harvinder Singh Virk said that Vijay Masih, a resident of Mohalla Uchi Ghati, Phillaur, is a history-sheeter and a drug peddler and gangster with a total of 21 cases registered against him at various police stations under charges of drug trafficking, attempt to murder, and other serious sections.
He informed that under the ongoing “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign, Vijay Masih’s illegally constructed shop has been demolished. Necessary legal orders regarding the demolition of illegal construction were also obtained from the EO, Phillaur.
The accused also purchased one and a half acres of land in Phillaur city with money from drug sales, which has been frozen by the Competent Authority in New Delhi.
The Jalandhar Municipal Corporation, in coordination with the Jalandhar Commissionerate Police, also demolished an illegal construction belonging to a notorious drug peddler on Friday.
Commissioner of Police Dhanpreet Kaur informed that the illegal construction of Honey Kalyan was razed in Abad Pura. Honey is a notorious drug trafficker with 5 FIRs registered against him.
