The Nakodar Sadar police have booked an unidentified miscreant on the charges of deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage the religious feeling of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs and criminal conspiracy.
Jaspreet Singh, a resident of Chak Kalan village, complained to the police that an unidentified accused threatened him on his WhatsApp number from two WhatsApp numbers to kill him and posted obscenely edited photos on social media.
Nakodar Deputy Superintended of Police Sukhpal Singh said that a case under sections 299(deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) and 351 (criminal conspiracy) of the BNS and sections 3(1)(s) of the ST/SC Act has been registered against unidentified accused, and further investigation is on.
