The Shahkot police have arrested two drug peddlers on the charge of selling poppy husk.
Shahkot Deputy Superintendent of Police Onkar Singh Brar and Station House Officer (SHO)Balwindar
Singh said 55 kilograms and 600 grams of poppy husk were recovered from the possession of the accused,
identified as Jaswindar Singh alias Saba, son of Amrik Singh, a resident of Kania Khas village under
Dharam Kot police station, Moga district and Harpreet Singh alias Peeta son of Jagtar Singh a resident of
Dosanjh Road, Model colony, Moga Sho said the contraband was packed in two bags kept in the toll box of
the truck (PB-10FE 3748)
The SHO said a case under section 15-C/61/85 of the NDPS Act had been registered against the accused, adding that the accused, Jaswindar, is a notorious criminal, and cases are pending against him.
The Bilga police arrested a drug peddler, Jaspal Singh, son of Darshan Singh, a resident of Bute Dian Chhana village under Mehat Pur police station, with 12 grams of heroin, said IO Charanjit Singh.
